How to make fried rice


 Fried rice is a popular dish that can be made in many different ways, but here is a basic recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked rice (jasmine or basmati)
  • 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable, canola, or sesame)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup diced vegetables (carrots, peas, bell peppers, etc.)
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat a large pan or wok over medium-high heat and add oil.
  2. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened.
  3. Add diced vegetables and stir-fry until tender.
  4. Push the vegetables to one side of the pan and add the beaten eggs. Scramble the eggs until cooked through.
  5. Add the cooked rice to the pan and stir-fry everything together for about 2 minutes, until the rice is heated through.
  6. Add soy sauce, green onions, salt and pepper and stir-fry for another minute.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  8. Serve hot with additional soy sauce or other desired condiments

You can also add protein sources such as chicken, shrimp, beef, or tofu to make it more filling. You can add some sesame oil and sesame seed in the end for more flavor.
